Dev log 1-Sebastian

The team’s goals for the pat week was to get a playable analogue out and ready to test on miro. As well as to get the mechanics of the game down.

We were able to compete the playable analogue but still were questioning the main mechanics for our game.

The teams goal for next week will be trying to get the main mechanics and concept for our game as well as getting our a digital prototype for our game to play test with others.

In the past week I was able to accomplish some of the writing for the analogue prototype

Next week my goals are to write a scenario to implement in the digital prototype and figure out some questions asked on the game design macro.

To meet these goals I need to figure out which concept we are going to for sure go with for our game.

Playtesting

We were playtesting the analogue prototype with a scenario on how we’d like the game to look and be presented to others.

We wanted to learn how other people felt about the game and the things that we needed to fix and other ideas we could implement to make it better

The play testers were our classmates and they did represent the target audience

When people were playing, there wasn’t much that we had so it was a bit hard to garner peoples initial reaction. The analogue was built much like a choose your own adventure novel where it’s like if you choose this option turn to this page. It seems people were able to get the handle of it though since it wasn’t anything too complicated.

There honestly weren’t many questions asked when we did play test people for the game. Honestly I’m unable to remember them if any were asked.

Some feedback we did receive were to change the score and timer if it was really even needed. The dialogue options were also brought into question in terms of if it was necessary to have that many or boil it down to 2. If there were a group of people needed or just boil it down to 1 person.

We took all that feedback and implemented it into our game and discussion between the team. We will try to implement most of it into the digital prototype.
